Filter Manager for Tableau

Customize all your Tableau filters with a single click. Bulk edit your dashboard filters to add apply buttons, change filter types, and control what values to display.

Filter Manager has two main features:

  • You can see and edit all your dashboard filters with a single click. You can add apply buttons, display them as a dropdown list, and show only the relevant values for all filters at once.

  • You can visualize all the filters and Worksheets of your Workbook in a table and a network to quickly ensure all your filters are correctly applied.

If you have been using Tableau for some time, you know how time-consuming and annoying it is to edit all your filters individually.

I’ve been using Tableau for ten years, so I’ve changed these filters thousands of times, one by one.

I know this annoys you, too, because we found a nine-year-old (!) Idea on the Tableau forum that describes precisely what we are solving today.

As with almost every tool we create, we start by identifying a daily frustration and try to solve it. Editing many filters in Tableau has been on my frustration list for a while; better late than never!
