Hi everyone!
What a couple of weeks! We're just back home after a European tour, we're deep in prep for Tableau Conference, and we just shipped something we are very excited to share with you: VizuAll.
Let's get into it.
We're back from DataFam Days 🇬🇧 🇳🇱
We just spent a few incredible days at DataFam Days in Amsterdam and London! Good weather, good company, loads of fun, and a great pre-TC experience!

Thanks to the organizers, speakers, and everyone who stopped by to chat with us!
For us, these events were also the perfect rehearsal for what's coming next…
Come see us at Tableau Conference 2026 🌊
We'll both be on stage at Tableau Conference in San Diego, and this one is extra special: it will be Jessica's first time presenting at TC! 🎉
After seeing the reactions at DataFam Days for her presentation (everyone loved it), you should really add it to your agenda!
We have two sessions this year:
There's an Extension for That: Tableau Public Unlocked - Jessica
A practical overview of how trusted viz extensions integrate seamlessly into Tableau Public, with real examples that unlock new creative possibilities.
🗓 Wednesday, May 6 — 1:30 PM PDT · Theater 1, Data Village
Beyond the Boundaries of Tableau - Tristan
Discover how far you can push Tableau with AI, MCP, and APIs through advanced techniques, creative experiments, and real-world use cases.
🗓 Tuesday, May 5 — 12:50 PM PDT · Stage 3
🗓 Thursday, May 7 — 12:20 PM PDT · Stage 5
If you're coming to TC, come say hi! We'll be around the whole week.
A sneak peek at VizuAll
And now for the fun one.
A few weeks ago, I decided to join the Tableau Hackathon, and I used it as an excuse to build something new with Tableau MCP, AI, and Dashboard Extensions!
The main question I tried to solve is:
How can AI make Tableau dashboards more accessible?
The result is VizuAll: a concept project made of six AI-powered tools built around the Tableau MCP server, each designed for a different persona.
Here's a quick tour:
Learn: a data literacy tutor that walks you through any Tableau Public viz and quizzes you on it.
Check: an accessibility auditing extension (color, contrast, spelling, scorecard).
Listen: turns any dashboard into a spoken summary with AI-generated alt-text.
Annotate: a collaborative drawing overlay with contextual annotations.
Brief: an automated podcast, delivered to Slack every morning.
Mobile: a mobile-first chat interface to ask questions about your Tableau data.
To be clear: this is a hackathon project, not (yet) a product. We’ll see the reception of the different tools to see which and how we can make them available.
But if you want to see it in action, come to our TC session "Beyond the Boundaries of Tableau", we'll be demoing VizuAll live!
It was mostly a playground for us to push what's possible when you connect Tableau to an LLM through MCP.
That’s it for this week. See you soon at TC!
Thanks!
