Hi everyone!

Busy. That’s the general mood here at LaDataViz!

Today’s newsletter is a quick recap of what we are working on, where to find us, and what’s new.

But before we start, an update about the Area Bump Chart that we released a few weeks ago: it’s now available on Tableau Exchange as a new Trusted Extension… so you can use it on Tableau Public!

Now available on the Tableau Exchange!

New Extensions: Sport Bracket and Calendar

First, a new Viz Extension, just in time for the World Cup ⚽️

Inspired by the tree diagram, this new extension lets you easily build sports bracket competitions. It will be released in March!

Second, we asked, you answered…

… and so we delivered!

All you’ll need is a Start date and an End date, and the extension will automatically create a Calendar view that you can show by year, month, or week.

We plan to release it in April!

Let’s catch up!

Two weeks ago, Jessica spoke at Comunidatos NYC. It was a great presentation showing how we went from a free online tool, AdvViz, to Trusted Viz Extensions!

She’ll also present at the Analytics TUG in two weeks, so if you prefer to see it live, make sure to register!

But if you prefer live, then don’t miss our sessions at Tableau Conference!
This year, both Jessica and I are presenting!

More information about the dates and registration will be available soon.

Finally, and more of a personal challenge, hackathons are back at Tableau Conference!

The last one was in 2019, and I was lucky enough to win it with Merlijn and return home with $500!

I have some exciting ideas for a new hackathon, so I hope I can find time to join.

That’s it for this week. Now back to work!

Thanks!
